Are we too late or too early to discuss this??
It was January this year when a lot of us made a lot of promises to ourselves, to achieve all those dreams we have been trying to achieve since all these years, some of us are done achieving already and are set to enter into new goals some of us are on the verge of it, still there are the ones who haven't yet started and few are those who are not able to even recall what were their resolutions. It seems as though every year this is becoming a custom to follow and another to un-follow our own resolutions! A survey was conducted on more than 15000 customers and the result was “the top resolutions were the old standby and 4 out of 5 people who make resolutions eventually going to break them”. Can you imagine? At least be happy you are not alone in this race!! But what is the need to join this race at all??
I was so surprised to see this has turned into a business for many, while I was researching few more articles and trends, I Googled simply “articles for new year resolution” and these were the results Google actually gave me
- How to make and keep a new year’s resolution?
- 50 new year’s resolution ideas
- New Year's resolution ideas
- The most popular new year’s resolutions
- Creative New Year’s resolutions
To those who left somewhere in between?? Why couldn’t you sustain?? For now, we know at least one strong reason! Let’s fetch the other few…
- Start over to give yourself a fresh start; 8 months have gone, be glad! You still have 5 more months, this time promise yourself to sustain your efforts.
- To inculcate any new habit you need to give 66 days to be exact 2 months minimum, as they say.
- Celebrate small victories and assume them as ladders to reach a new level in life.
- Find encouragement and motivators around you no matter how much you listen to top motivators in the world, but you must surround yourself with the people who can motivate you in reality and when we look at things around us actually building and actually transforming their own life every day, bit by bit, slowly but with sustained efforts, that give us true motivation.
- Create short-term achievable goals, if you are in a habit of waking up at 9 suddenly if you would try to wake up at 6! Okay, how do you expect your brain to all of a sudden sacrifice 3 hours of sleep? You will end up committing numerous failed attempts and eventually, the only choice would be to go back to sleep till 9 instead you could wake up at 8:30 utilize that half hour, that half hour productivity will automatically motivate you to wake up at 8 the next morning.
- Let your own success, achievements, and productivity, motivate you!

Follow up, this is another sure shot way to keep a track of your progress and achievements of how far have you traveled.
- Keep a diary; write your end goal or goals, next, break it into monthly chunks and further weekly smaller chunks.
- Remind yourself every Sunday evening or a Monday morning what you need to do the entire week, and WHY you’re doing all this, it will take only 30 minutes of your entire day, set up a plan for each week.
You didn’t come this far to only come this far.
~Not my quote, read it somewhere, and it is now my all-time favorite.
