Oh, they are precious! I love to carry them and sometimes flaunt them too. The best part of having them is they work as a natural human (Male) repellent too! These have given me a new title altogether, and people ask, why do I adore them?
Why can’t we just be proud of something we’re born with? Why do you wish to get rid of everything that seems imperfect to the world? the more we are obsessed with getting rid of something and curse it, the more they appear and the more they stuck! Isn't it?
Studies have proved it, and I have experienced this fact. Well talking of the craziest questions raised rather rumors spread for people with dark circles are the funniest ones.
“she must be in a relationship, ask me!”, “she doesn’t seem happy with him”, “she doesn’t get enough sleep”, “She’s too much into book yaa”, “she doesn’t have a schedule.” “She’s too lazy to do something for herself”.
My life is therefore controlled by my dark circles and people’s judgment and opinion over them, and least I can do about this is listening to their super perfect home remedies, and look at their super perfect faces.
My dark circles are mostly the reason behind my character definition and my happiness, not laughter, readers pls!! stress more on “happiness” and less on “laughter”. Happiness comes from within, laughter is just superficial. I'm laughing but I am not happy, because dark circles are the proof.
I am blessed with all my dadis and nanis in every corner, with their super successful ideas,
1) Potato juice
2) Raw Onion
3) Aloe Vera
4) Almond oil
5) Cold spoon
6) Tea bags
7) Sunscreen (oh!! Sun is not only the ultimate source of energy but dark circles too)
8) Cucumbers, eating them isn’t going to benefit you, not even a teeny tiny bit.
9) STOP TOUCHING THEM (this advice is my best so far (it’s like, do not go near a pregnant woman, you might get one in your womb too).
Not that this no 9 helped me, and therefore I like it so much, but it gave me a burst of laughter and remember the “inner happiness” we just discussed? this laughter was too good that day, I achieved inner happiness.
If at all you would listen to my side of the story, I love my dark circles, because I own them, something that no one would ever want to steal from me.
The day I was born, they were there, as the years passed by, they were still there. The pain, the sleepless nights, the unending calls, the beep of every message and the long chats, the heartbreak and the stress, the strain and all the hardship, all the deadlines and the workload, they were there, as proofs of the existence of my emotional state.
They stood by every morning. How much I try to get rid of them, they never left me alone. They are the true companions, I laugh and they stay, I cry and they stay, I apply whatever people ask me to, but they stay!! People aren’t such, their ego is bigger than the relation they share, their self-respect and their space is everything than the relationship they share! If they call my relation with the dark circles nonsense, Baby they have taught me to stick and never leave!! I can’t let the learning go! They taught me the real meaning of “I’m there” & “I’ll stay” Yes! Not even the Vitamins, and Zinc and Calcium could take them away, not that extra pound of weight and not that extra hour of sleep! I love them, my love with myself has seen 3 decades, your 3-hour opinion is hardly going to matter.
Happiness is living in your skin, and nurturing it, happiness is being healthy, not an obsession with perfection and trying to fit in someone else's definition of flawlessness.
My acceptance for my looks has brightened my face that people now hardly notice my flaws but they still call me "the girl with the dark circles."
